In the fall of 2002, the Lord led me to begin Joyful Covers, a home-based sewing business serving doctors, nurses, and surgeons.

My family and I live in Bulverde, Texas, a small town near San Antonio. I have had back problems for the past 12 years, which has led to being in constant pain. While I was at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, recovering from my third back surgery, I noticed one of my nurses wearing a colorful stethoscope cover. Since I enjoy sewing, this gave me the idea of starting a company making various covers.

My goal in business is to bring a bit of joy to medical staff and the people they serve by brightening up their scrubs.

It is such a privilege and blessing to be able to serve medical staff through Joyful Covers. I have come to love the nurses, doctors, and surgeons that are taking care of me and think of them as dear friends. It is my prayer that the Lord would bless these wonderful people and their patients with His great joy!
